全国煤田地质图例库是全国煤炭资源信息系统的有机组合部分，是依据煤炭工业部地质局制定的《煤田地质标准图例》和《第三次煤田预测图件编绘图式》在微机上建立的，本文论述CFGS92的层次管理结构及其内容组成，分析了CFGS92的突出特点及其应用效果，探讨了煤田地质图例符号的专业分类体系及应用分类系统，阐明了图例符号的编码规及各类的应用操作，并提出了CFGS92的发展方向。

As the component of National Coal Resources Information System(NCR IS), the Coal Field Geology Symbolic Library(CFGS92) is researched and developed according to two handboods which are the symbolic standard of national coal field geology mapping. One of the two handbooks is named Standard Symbols of Coal Field Geology,while the other is titled Standard Symbols for the Third Coal Field Forecast Mapping. The hierarchical structure and the main components of CFGS92 are discussed with the illustration of frame chart. The basic characteristics and the applied effects are analyzed and demonstrated through the concrete examples. The article sets up the specialized classification system and the applied classification system of coal field geology symbols. The coding rules of coal field geollogy symbols are expounded, and the operations of CFGS92 are studied as well. At last, the author points out the developing prospect of CFGS92.
