本文设计了一种新的精确而又实用快速的基于8连通的m采样和分类(m-Sampling and Classified Method,MSC)方法,估计和预测其误差,为证实预期结果,对一系列不同直径的圆和矩形进行测量并与前人的工作进行了比较"取得满意的结果.

Accurate measurement of object perimeters from digital images is one of the important and fundamental tasks of image analysis and computer vision.In this paper,a new accurate and fast perimeter estimator based on eight-connection MSC (m-Sampling and Classification)was presented. Estimation errors were analyzed and predicated .To prove the performance .a comparative experimental study about the exsiting methods and our new method was carried on a digital object datasets including circles with different diameters and rectangles with different edge lengths. Satisfactory results were obtained.
