研究了一种基于主动轮廓的边缘提取方法，与传统方法相比，该方法除了以图象灰度变化的微分信息作为边缘点和非边缘点的分类判据外，还引入了图象轮廓的整体几何信息指导分类过程，因而是一种具有学习功能的边缘提取方法。

A novel method of edge detection based on active contour which has the self study skillis presented. Besides the differential information of image gray level, the global feature ofim age contour is introduced to the process of edge detection so that edge detection and contour extraction can be integrated into one course and has high precision of edge locate. More over, this method can resume the break point of image contour according to the global information of the contour to prohibit noise. Experimental results show the validity of this method.
