一种定性细节方向关系的表达模型

摘 要
空间关系在空间数据库查询语言、基于内容的图像检索及空间场景的相似性等领域有着广泛的应用。然而,当目标对象与参照对象的外接矩形相交或位于其内时,现有方向关系表达方法不能有效地描述有关方向的信息,从而限制了与空间关系有关概念的表达。为此提出了一种能够表达与参照对象外接矩形内部有关信息的细节方向关系表达模型,研究了线/面、面/面和点/面间拓扑关系和方向关系的组合表达问题,最后给出了细节方向关系的计算模型。与现有的方向关系描述方法相比,细节方向关系能够描述参照对象的形状、岛屿,并且能够提高空间关系的分辨率。

A Qualitative Description Model of Detailed Direction Relations

Abstract
Spatial relations have been comprehensively used in many applications, such as Spatial Database Query Language, Content-Based Image Retrieval and Similarity of Spatial Scenes, etc. However, because the conventional approaches of describing direction relations can not express direction information effectively when the target object is inside or intersected with minimum boundary rectangle (MBR) of the reference object, which limits the description of concepts related to spatial relations. In this paper, firstly, a detailed direction relations model (DDRM) is proposed, which can describe the information related to the interior of MBR of the reference object. The DDR includes interior, boundary and ring direction relations, and each direction relation is composed of 9 atom directions at most. The interior directions describe some concepts related to the interior of the reference object, The boundary directions deal with some terms related to boundary of the reference object, and the ring directions describe the information about the difference region between the reference object and its MBR. Secondly, after composing topological relations and DDRM, the number of discernible spatial relations about line/region, region/region and point/region increase. Unlike the current direction relations model, the DDRM is sensitive to the shape and the hole of a reference object, and is helpful to improve the ability of describing the spatial relations.
