火焰模拟方法的研究综述

摘 要
火焰等无规则物体的模拟近年来成为计算机动画领域中的一个研究热点,回顾了该领域中火焰模拟的各种模型的发展情况,总结了该研究方向所采用的各类方法,并结合各种模型的特点分门别类地详细展开。其方法总体上可以分为粒子系统方法、数学物理方法和纹理技术方法,讨论了各自方法的优缺点、适用范围和效果特征;展望了未来发展的3个重点:火焰细节、控制机制和模拟速度;并对这个方向的研究前景进行了必要的探讨。

A Survey on Flame Simulation Methods

Abstract
This paper presented a survey on the development of flame simulation in computer animation, with a detail introduction to the classification of the works as well as different kinds of methods employed in the field. The methods applied mainly include the particle system method, the mathematic and physics-based method and the texture based method. Each method had their advantages and shortcomings, application scopes and result characteristics. We analyzed three important techniques briefly, including flames details, the control mechanisms and the simulation speed of results, and also discussed the tendency of this direction.
