基于改进的2维EMD的红外小目标检测

摘 要
针对红外图像中的小目标检测,提出了一种利用经验模态分解(EMD)提取海空背景下红外弱小目标的新方法。该方法基于Delaunay三角剖分和分段三次样条插值,将1维EMD方法推广到2维,并将其应用于红外图像中的小目标的检测。仿真实验结果表明,该新方法能快速和准确地检测出海空背景下的红外弱小目标,具有一定的理论和应用价值。

Abstract
A new method was provided based on the empirical mode decomposition(EMD) to solve the difficulties of infrared image dim small target detection in complex background of sky and sea. The decomposition in this paper is based on Delaunay triangulation and piecewise cubic polynomial interpolation. Application to infrared images has shown that the performance of the algorithm can detect infrared small target in background of sky and sea exactly and quickly. The method presented in this paper appears instructive from both theoretical and practical points of view.
